BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING

    OCTOBER 16 TH , 2006

MEMBERS HERE: John Michener, Judy Thompson, Lynn Davis, Sue McCluskey, and Ron Slavenas.

MEMBERS ABSENT: Mike Evers and Rocky Dander   

OTHERS: Paul Bafia, David Johnson, Jason Schlieben , and Tom Mammoser

CALL TO ORDER: John Michener called the meeting to order at 6:32pm.

CONSENT AGENDA: Judy Thompson made a motion to accept the consent agenda. Lynn Davis 2 nd the motion and vote was taken. All vote yes and motion passed.

TOPICS FROM THE FLOOR; None

BOND ORDINANCE: Interest rates are to come. Paul Bafia has master and filling out the Bond Ordinance #0206 for $230,000.00. Lynn Davis made a motion to accept Bond ordinance #0206 for $230,000.00. Ron Slavenas 2 nd the motion. Sue McCluskey the Secretary reads the ordinance and roll call vote was taken. All vote yes and motion passed.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Changes to the September 18 th minutes are Tom Mammoser left at 7:40pm and information at building and grounds meeting –rip rap and lights on the football field. Sue McCluskey made a motion to approve the September 18 th minutes with the changes. Judy Thompson 2 nd the motion. Vote was taken. All voted yes and motion passed.

BUDGET REPORTS/FINANCIAL STATEMENTS: Discussed bills and statements. Lynn Davis made a motion to accept the Budget/Financial statements as presented. Sue McCluskey 2 nd the motion. Roll call vote was taken. All voted yes and motion passed.

REGULAR BILLS: Judy Thompson a motion to approve the regular bills of $20,513.59. Lynn Davis 2 nd the motion. Roll call vote was taken. All voted yes and motion passed.

BOND BILLS : None

CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT; Judy Thompson made a motion to pay capital bills of $9,330.91. Lynn Davis 2 nd the motion. Roll call vote taken all vote yes and motion passed.

HANDICAP BILLS: None.

PAYROLL REGISTER: Lynn Davis made a motion to approve the payroll register of $19,403.75. Ron Slavenas 2 nd the motion. Roll call vote was taken. All voted yes and motion passed.

OLD BUSINESS: George Ogorek will be here in November.

Tax Levy Ordinance-Paul Bafia has a meeting on Thursday at 4:00pm. Judy Thompson and Lynn Davis are on the tax levy committee. They can not make the meeting on Thursday. More to come.

Halloween Happenings Update-Jason Schlieben discussed the event.

Fitness Center Update-Holly Ber not present. We will discuss when Holly arrives.

NEW BUSINESS : Concrete Bid/Durham Park- Engelt Swanson's bid was $1,763.00. Judy Thompson made a motion to accept the bid of $1,763.00 for concrete work by Engelt Swanson for Durham Park . Ron Slavenas 2 nd the motion. Roll call vote taken and all vote yes. Motion passed.

Professional Development School Nov 5-7/Board meeting Nov. 6 th -Paul Bafia will be at PDS for the Nov 6 th meeting and then on vacation the following week. Jason Schlieben Volunteered to fill in for Paul Bafia at the meeting.

STAFF REPORTS : Tom Mammoser gave us a list of items. The football bleachers are coming down. The press box is still there. Paul Bafia is going to call the school.

Tom Mammoser thanked Paul Bafia and Jason Schlieben for their help with the Rip Rap at Kiernan Park . Tom left at 7:37pm.

Finance Committee-Nothing

David Johnson Rec Supervisor-Gave his report.

Jason Schlieben/Rec Superintendent-Discussed his report.

Holly Ber /Fitness Director-Grand opening –things went very well. Paul Bafia is working on coporate memberships.

Also discussed security camera in the fitness center. We will discuss that with the school.

DIRECTOR'S REPORT: Halloween Happenings is being taken care of by David Johnson and Jason Schlieben . Paul Bafia will be gone that day. They have it under control. Paul Bafia thanked David Johnson, Jason Schlieben , Toni Barkey , and Tom Mammoser for their help.

EXECUTIVE SESSION: Judy Thompson made a motion to go into executive session. Sue McCluskey 2 nd the motion. Into executive session at 8:10pm.
